Modern outdoor residential hot tub with GFCI disconnect panel
Water & Electricity Demand Precision

Don't Risk Your Safety on a DIY Install.

A hot tub is a significant investment in your home and relaxation, but it also introduces a massive electrical load in close proximity to water. Standard residential outlets simply cannot handle the 50A or 60A draw required by modern spas, and an improper installation is a severe shock and fire hazard.

At Noticed On Site Electric, we specialize in safe, code-compliant hot tub hookups. From evaluating your main panel's capacity to trenching underground conduit and installing the required GFCI spa disconnect, we handle the entire process. With 18 years of experience as a Master Electrician, we ensure your hot tub is powered safely, fully permitted, and ready to enjoy.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on your current service. Most modern hot tubs require a 50A or 60A dedicated circuit. If you have an older 100A panel that is already heavily loaded with electric appliances (stove, dryer, A/C), you may need a panel or service upgrade. We will perform a formal load calculation during our assessment to give you a definitive answer.
Yes, we can manage the trenching. ESA code requires underground electrical lines to be buried at a specific depth depending on the type of conduit used. We ensure the trench is dug to the exact code requirements for safety and compliance.
By code, the GFCI disconnect panel must be located within line of sight of the hot tub, but it cannot be closer than 1.5 meters (5 feet) from the inside wall of the tub, preventing bathers from reaching it while in the water.
Yes, absolutely. Running a new dedicated circuit and installing exterior GFCI equipment requires a permit from the Electrical Safety Authority. We pull the permit on your behalf and coordinate the final inspection so you have total peace of mind.
